JMB Produce Takes to the Big Easy for PMA 2013

For Immediate Release

San Francisco, CA- October 15, 2013- Jacobs, Malcolm & Burtt (JMB) Produce will once again be exhibiting at the Produce Marketing Association’s Fresh Summit in New Orleans, October 19-20, 2013. New Orleans’ Ernest Morial Convention Center is the home for this year’s show.

Since 1888, JMB Produce has been serving the fresh produce industry worldwide. Recently, efforts have been focused on providing:

  • Custom packs, ideal for private labels
  • Flow wrap (mechanized bagging) for all weights and configurations for all weights of bagged product
  • Custom pack and styles based on consumer needs

In a bold step, JMB is moving toward product availability from North America all year round, benefitting consumers, and reducing JMB’s carbon footprint by having fewer food miles traveled.

Constantly striving to be on the edge of culinary trends, JMB will be serving their signature Asparagus and Bacon Salad, with fresh pomegranate arils with a balsamic vinaigrette dressing.

In addition to sampling this delectable treat, show goers will have the opportunity to learn about JMB’s rich history and the company’s 50th anniversary of being family owned and operated. JMB now represents over 30% of the asparagus acreage in California.

“We don’t take our 50 year anniversary for granted,” states JMB’s Dan Miller. “We have worked hard to get where we are, and we will continue our tradition of getting the highest quality products to the store shelves in the shortest time possible.”

For more information about this icon in the produce industry and a fantastic sampling of a new salad, please put visiting JMB at booth #519 a high priority on your show “to-do” list.

To arrange an interview with a member of the JMB team on the show floor, please contact show manager Julie Lucido at (559) 977-1611.

JMB Produce, Steeped In Tradition and History

Jacobs, Malcolm & Burtt and the success of its growers has been one of a partnership built on what each is good at; the grower producing a quality crop and Jacobs, Malcolm & Burtt selling at a price that provides the most money back to the grower.
